ABOUT CRISTIAN
Cristian Orozco is an Ecuadorian percussionist and composer. He serves as a percussion educator in the Musical Arts Career at the Faculty of Arts of the Central University of Ecuador.
Renowned for his virtuosity, interpretation, and musicality, he has successfully forged a career dedicated to promoting and creating Latin American culture. At internationally acclaimed festivals, he has had the privilege of representing Ecuador as a trailblazer in the realm of music interpretation and composition.
Percussionist
As a percussion soloist, he has established himself as one of the most distinguished young representatives of his nation.
His dedication, energy, and musicality characterize his approach to conceiving a musical idea and subsequently conveying it to the audience.

Since the inception of the musical arts career in 2018, Cristian has been serving as a professor in the Symphonic Percussion Department.
For Cristian, the fundamental philosophy of the Symphonic Percussion program is centered around "Studying to Find Joy in Musical Work."
His students are prepared for a musical career in all areas: as solo percussionists, as percussionists in ensembles/orchestras, or as percussion educators. Their careers are based on research and a thoroughly practical and thoughtful study.
Cristian is the founder and Artistic Director of the Percussion Ensemble of the Central University of Ecuador: PercUCEmble, and its students have been invited to and are part of renowned ensembles and musical institutions in the country, such as the Youth Orchestra of the National Symphony Orchestra of Ecuador.
Cristian also collaborates as a professor in other subjects, including Composition, where he shares his knowledge and experience in his role as a composer.
